Tom’s musical style covers a spectrum that draws from the likes of Buffalo Springfield and The Byrds on one end, and Shawn Colvin and Nick Drake on the other. Narrow, perhaps; but certainly unambiguous.
An accomplished studio musician, songwriter, and performer; he has shared stages across America and Ireland with folk/rock luminaries such as David Bromberg, Martin Carthy, Christie Moore, and Kevin Burke. His songs have won numerous awards including the West Coast Songwriters “Song of the Year”.
With a simple and compact stage set up Tom works well as either an opener or headliner. He's also perfect for a concert in your home.
Tom grew up in Porterville in California's San Joaquin Valley. He spent his formative years sitting in front of a radio listening to the likes of Jimmy Thompson out of Bakersfield, Wolfman from Chula Vista, and Top 40 radio for everything else the world was hearing. He disappointed his grandfather by not taking over the family hardware store and lit out for Northern California where he found people playing music all over the place and it didn't get so hot. He stopped off in New England for a while and then continued on for five years in Northern Ireland. All of these places pop up in the music.
